ABOUT

Years after cancer surgery, I walked into a hospital and began to cry. The grief I had pushed aside while getting back to work and family life was still there.

Cancer-free, yet preparing for another operation, I wanted care waiting for me afterward. So I made watercolors and wrote words that could sit beside whatever I felt. That care became Love & Light Art.

Love & Light Art creates original watercolor art, poetry, and care cards for women living through surgery, recovery, and other life transitions, and for the people who love them and wish they knew what to say.

Through art and words, the work gives form to feelings that can be hard to explain. Grief and beauty. Fear and possibility. The unfamiliarity of a changing body or life.

My fine arts degree shapes how I work with color and form. Years as a tech design executive taught me to listen closely to what people need. Today, over 11,000 patient experiences guide the feelings I explore, and peer-reviewed color research informs my palette.

My hope is to offer art and words you may return to, with room for how you feel today.

With love,
